We have all had times when we have a rough week. The kiddos won't stop calling your name, the monthly reports at work are due and there are loads of laundry calling your name. Here are 5 tips on how you can stay sane and fabulous when life has absolutely no CHILL.
TIP 1: STAY SPIRITUALLY CONNECTED
Watch a sermon online, listen to some worship music or attend a local church service. You can even do all three.
TIP 2: EXERCISE
I'm not saying go P90X but take a 30 minute stroll in your neighborhood. Talk a walk in the park with your kids. Start small but whatever you do just START.
TIP 3: GET ADEQUATE REST & EAT WELL
Get at least 6-8 hours of rest each night. If you are not well rested then your body will not recharge. Don't be that person nodding off at the red light during rush hour. Remember to eat at least 3 small meals and 3 snacks per day. Also, drink plenty of water (not lemonade).
TIP 4: PLAN
Buy yourself a planner, use your phone notes or just a plain notebook. Gather your thoughts and plans and write them down. Plan out your time and appointments.
TIP 5: TAKE CARE OF YOUR MENTAL HEALTH
DO NOT ignore your mental health issues. Seek professional help and get control of the thoughts in your head. Don't let society tell you that seeking help is weak. We all need an outlet and seeking professional help is a great choice.
