How To Stay Sane While Working From Home

I'm sure by now everyone is fed up with the Coronavirus #COVID-19, being quarantined, lack of toilet tissue and essentials in the grocery story. According to the news media this situation will not be over by the end of the week. If you have been fortunate enough to be able to work at home during this crisis, then I'm sure you are looking for ways to keep it together while you work from home.

I have come up with FIVE tips to help you stay sane while working from home.

1. Create a schedule. In the office you have a schedule, so why not create a schedule for working from home. A schedule will help you prioritize and stay organized.

2. Create yourself a workspace. I have a home-office but not everyone has enough space for a home-office. Get a nice spot at the dining table. Put up a nice family picture and your favorite water jug next to your computer. Make it your own space as the same way you do at the office.

3. Take a BREAK! Please make sure you are taking breaks. Step away from the computer screen and phone for about 15 minutes and stretch. Go outside on the porch and get some fresh air. Take a walk around the block. If you are under quarantine you don't have to stay in the house, just stay away from crowds with 10 people or more.

4. Eat properly and Hydrate. Eating a well balanced meal with healthy snacks will ensure you are fully energized to tackle the day. Drink enough water according to your body weight. Also, take your vitamins and supplements. Staying well fed and hydrated will keep you at a lower risk even if you come in contact with someone who has "Da Rona".

5. Make sure you are clocking in and out. Working from home can be a trap if you do not set a start and ending time. Our spouses, kids and household chores also need our attention. Do get sucked into working all night because you are at home. (Especially if you are a salaried employee) No overtime for you my friend.

All these tips are especially important if you have children. They need schedules, designated schoolwork areas, breaks, proper nourishment and ending times as well.

I hope these tips are helpful. Please comment, like and share with others. As always peace and blessing to everyone.
